Blogging Policies

Blogging is meant to be fun, but please keep these guidelines in mind:

  1. Posts must remain positive and respectful; inflammatory, libelous, graphic, profane, or otherwise negative entries will not be tolerated.
  2. Content of a personal nature or that could perceivably offend others may not be posted; be mindful that written messages can potentially be misinterpreted.
  3. All communication (text, photos, images, subject matter) must remain office-appropriate in tone, content and language.
  4. CDP blogs are for internal/departmental use only. Linking without management consent is prohibited; sharing of access/passwords is prohibited. Sharing blog content or URL with former/terminated employees is prohibited.
  5. Company policies related to conduct and professionalism must be adhered to at all times; avoid references relating to race, gender, age, national origin, sexual preference, religion, etc...
  6. Company policies pertaining to usage of Lotus Notes, Same-time and Text Messaging on company-issued equipment will apply to content communicated via blog.
  7. Blogs should reinforce the company's core values and uphold the corporate image.
  8. Proprietary information, trade secrets, operational procedures and similar confidential data/knowledge may not be disclosed.
  9. Full names, earnings, or other employee information of a private nature will not be disclosed.
  10. The company is not liable for comments posted on this blog. Views expressed on the blog are those of the individual and not necessarily reflective of the department, management or the company.
  11. Blogs, though a medium of self-expression, are considered "intellectual property" of the company; the company maintains ownership of all content, therefore it may not be reproduced or re-posted on the web or in any other format.
  12. Screen Names (names used to post or comment) must remain office appropriate.
  13. Violators of blogging guidelines may be subject to disciplinary action.

Please see your manager regarding any questions you may have.
